As Hurricane Dorian approaches Florida and the timeline for heavy rainfall and damaging winds extends into early next week, we are closing and securing ALL OFFICES at 5 pm on Friday, August 30. There will be no access to the offices until the management team determines that it is safe to return. The decision to close and secure every location was not taken lightly; the safety and well-being of you and your family is our priority.

Our management team will be monitoring and evaluating throughout the weekend, and we will make a company-wide announcement Sunday evening regarding our re-open date and time. This announcement will be made via the CBV Communications email account, our company-wide texting program and through our official social media channels.

We ask that all staff and agents please collect and remove personal belongings (including any personal electronics) from your offices and/or desks BEFORE the offices are locked and secured at 5 pm Friday. Staffers responsible for company-owned equipment will receive additional information on office closing preparations from Vicki Terry.

Beginning at 5 pm Friday, you will not be able to enter any CBV office until you are notified by management that it is safe to do so. We will consider numerous factors including building damage, debris, power loss, and travel conditions when making the decision to re-open. Should you need any assistance or have any questions about our storm preparations, please contact your manager directly.

Also, please do check-in directly with your manager via text, phone or email Sunday evening (or when it is safe to do so); we want to know that all of our CBV family members are safe and accounted for.

We sincerely hope you and your loved ones are safe throughout the coming days and that our preparedness – and yours – will ensure we all weather the storm with as few disruptions as possible. We appreciate and value each and every one of you.
