Beaches Sidewalk Sale Benefits Jacksonville Beach nonprofit
A sidewalk sale hosted by the Beaches office and its CBV Cares council recently raised more than $800 for Mission House, a Jacksonville Beach nonprofit organization.
Agents, customers and area residents donated new and gently used items, such as home furnishings, clothing, accessories and sporting goods, for the sale, which was held November 4 at the CBV beaches office.
“Although it rained most of the day of the event, we were overwhelmed with the support we received from the community,” said Carole Bayer, who coordinated the event. “We work each and every day to help families find homes; it’s only natural we also work hard to support organizations that provide assistance to the area’s homeless.”
“CBV Cares is a unique opportunity for agents and team members to make a direct, measurable impact,” said Cindey Nordman, program chair and CBV agent. “Throughout the year, our agents, customers and partners come together to assist groups and organizations, and in this season of giving, we are incredibly thankful for the many individuals and companies who make it happen.”
